Hi,

Hopefully someone may be able to help me...

I have had a lot of work done on my old property some by myself and some by professionals.

I have a 100 yr old property that the best solution was to strip it down to the brick and start again.

We have been using a "Tanking" method on the interior walls that are external to the building... However my builder has kept his exact mixture of SBR/PVA/Cement and Tile Adhesive more secret than the Colnels recipe.

I have decided I'd be better to do the prep work and SBR the walls myself...
As bar the mix recipe it does not merit any special skills, and my builder charges me a day for half a day watching his work dry...

The only problem is I don't know what mix of ingredient to use.

My builder used to do swimming pools so his mix may be a bit overkill but i'd rather have water tight damp free walls.

Has anyone else done anything similar? If so any tips on what mix with what.

We have used from 5 to 7 Coates on some walls with each coat being a slightly different mix.

If I can't get any suggestions I'll make my own mix and see if that does the trick..
