Replace or refurbish old shower stall?

We have an old fiberglass shower (about 25 years old) in the master
bathroom that is not attractive. My wife wants to replace it while I am
wondering if it would be more economical and easier to somehow refurbish
it. It is about 32" X 45" with sliding glass doors and a ledge to sit
on. Thanks for any advice.
