Yes, the simplest and cheapest solution, use less detergent, or from no. 3
above, check to see if you are using automatic powder, as it could be non
automatic.powder making too much suds.
If a pump is faulty, the machine will usually stick in that pump out
position, not continue washing the clothes in the same water, so too much
detergent seems the most likely cause
