Hi,

I've recently replaced the door frames on both my kitchen and living room
but there is a gap between the frame and the wall. What is the best way to
deal with this?. A joiner friend said that this is common and that I should
use a sealant, if so could someone tell me exactly which sealant I should go
for?

Many thanks

Jonni

How big is this gap?
If he said use a sealant I can imagine its quite small.
Look for polyfilla in a tube or decorators caulk.

Thanks, he said use sealant but he didn't actually see the gap himself - the
gaps are about 3mm. It is basically an old council house which I'm about to
buy in the next couple of months and then do some serious improvements to
it. I'll be a regular in here before long!

Regards
Jonni
